Main Headline: Bolton Man Skipping UK With Joy
Inspired by the children "laughing with joy" in Uganda, a man has decided to skip the length of the UK in a bid to "prove kindness exists everywhere."
As part of a challenge to raise £520,000 for charity, Krish Patel plans to skip 900 miles in 40 days, starting in Lands' End and reaching John O'Groats. After volunteering at a schools in Uganda and Manchester, Krish observed the fun children were having and thought that skipping across the country would be a good way of spreading a message of joy and kindness. The fundraising proceeds will go to the charity 52-Lives which provides free School of Kindness workshops and support for struggling families.
The skipping multi-marathon started on August 18th and is set to end on September 26th in Scotland. To prepare for the challenge. Krish trained for four months prior to starting the journey. His longest day of skipping so far has been from Delamere forest to Wigan, taking over ten hours to complete.
Krish has been on a mission since 2019 to inspire and motivate people to carry out acts of kindness and his website tells of his other social enterprise ventures such as helping to build a school in Uganda, becoming involved with a homeless outreach group in Manchester and collecting stories of positivity in others' lives. He turned his back on materialistic living after a stint of winning a football scholarship and living in America for a time, realising that this was not going to bring him fulfillment. Cat Missing for Ten Years Finds Its Way Home
A cat in Wales that went missing ten years ago at the age of 3 has now been reunited with her owners. Charlie the cat disappeared in April 2016, leaving her owners "heartbroken" by the loss.
Charlie would often spend time outdoors roaming the local area but usually returned home. However, shortly after moving to a new area a few miles away, she never came back. Despite searching for Charlie for many months, the owners Lucy and Hannah never had any success and they assumed the cat was gone for good.
However, in July this year, there was a phone call from the vet on Lucy's 30th birthday saying that the cat had been found. Charlie had been seen living in bushes and someone had taken the cat in to feed her for several weeks before taking her to the vets. After seeing the microchip with Hannah's phone number, the vet called and reunited Charlie with her owners. Charlie is now re-adjusting to life at home with the family's other pets and has apparently been loving the "food and attention." It sounds like Charlie is lapping up her celebrity status in Caerphilly and truly feels like the cat who got the cream!

Teenager Saves Elderly Pair From Car Rolling Away
A young man of 18 working at the Highland Farm Cafe in Dingwall, Scotland, is a local hero for stopping a car from rolling away and stopping it hitting any other vehicles.
The two elderly passengers in the back of the car were saved from injury by Euan taking action to jump inside the car and pull up the handbrake as it was rolling downhill. He had first tried to steer the car but the steering wheel was locked, so he climbed in and pulled the handbrake cable, stopping the car just about a centimetre away from a parked car.
Euan and the passengers were shaken but thankful that a collison had been prevented. The cafe owners were rightly proud of the young man's quick-thinking and bravery, and took to social media to share the story with the town. Euan has since had much praise from customers, colleagues and the public for his courage. According to the cafe owners, he is "always looking for ways to look after our customers and this is another example of his looking out for others."
