Play pelmanism/matching pairs with the 16 different cards. Take turns to turn over two cards and see if they are the same. If you have a matching pair you may keep the cards. If not, turn them over and the next player tries. The winner is the player to have the most matching pairs once all the cards have been picked up.
Alternative game is to play snap. Place one card in the centre face up and share out all the other cards. These should be kept face down. Each player draws a card and if it matches the card in the centre, players should shout 'snap' as fast as they can. The first person to call "Snap!" takes both matching piles and adds them to the bottom of their own face-down pile. The aim is to win all the cards.
